Hire Hawaiian Dancers: Hula and Fire Knife Dancer Prices

Quick answer

How much does it cost to hire hula dancers in Hawaii?

Hawaii Luau Company hires out hula dancers, musicians, and fire knife dancers as packages starting at $2,697 plus Hawaiʻi tax for 2 dancers, 1 musician, and 1 production manager. The top package is $5,787 plus tax for 5 dancers, 3 musicians, a fire knife dancer, an emcee, and a production manager. A fire knife dancer can be added to the two smaller packages for $570 plus tax. Prices are per package, not per dancer.

If you are hiring entertainment for a wedding, a company dinner, or a family event, the first question is price and the second is what you actually get. Here are both.

Prices by lineup

2 dancers, 1 musician, and 1 production manager: $2,697 plus Hawaiʻi tax (Plumeria). 3 dancers, 2 musicians, and 1 production manager: $3,197 plus Hawaiʻi tax (Pikake).

4 dancers, 2 musicians, 1 fire knife dancer, and 1 production manager: $4,387 plus Hawaiʻi tax (Hibiscus). 5 dancers, 3 musicians, 1 fire knife dancer, 1 emcee, 1 production manager, and fresh flower leis for up to 10 people: $5,787 plus Hawaiʻi tax (Bird of Paradise).

You are hiring a package, not a per-dancer rate

The price covers the full group for your event: the dancers, the musicians, and a production manager. That is different from booking individual performers one at a time. This page covers what you pay to hire the show, not what individual performers are paid.

Hiring a fire knife dancer

A fire knife dancer comes with the Hibiscus and Bird of Paradise packages. For Plumeria and Pikake, one can be added for $570 plus Hawaiʻi tax. Open flame needs your venue’s approval, and hotels, timeshares, and private homes each decide differently. We confirm it with the property before it is treated as booked.

What else belongs in the budget

Sound and lights, tables and chairs, décor, and food arrangements are priced separately from the package. For events outside Maui, travel is added to the quote.

Choosing the right lineup

The guest count and the space decide the lineup. A small dinner can work with two dancers and one musician. A large lawn or a company event usually needs more dancers and musicians so everyone can see and hear. Tell us your guest count and venue and we recommend a lineup.
